Chevrolet is set to make a groundbreaking entry into the electric vehicle market with the first-ever all-electric Equinox EV. While still in the preproduction stage, the preproduction model showcased promises an exciting future for electric SUVs. The Chevrolet Equinox EV offers two different powertrain options depending on whether you choose the Front Wheel Drive (FWD) or Electric All-Wheel Drive (eAWD) version. The FWD version is equipped with a 159-kW electric motor, while the eAWD version boasts a more powerful 215-kW dual-motor system. This difference in power output translates to variations in acceleration, with the FWD version going from 0 to 60 mph in 7.9 seconds and the eAWD version achieving it in just 5.9 seconds.
