AT HOME

There are a few options when it comes to charging your Bolt. The first is a standard 120-volt cord that can plug into any outlet with 3 prongs. It charges the most slowly, adding 4 miles for each hour spent charging. For faster charging, you can get a 240-volt unit professionally installed at your house. It requires professional installation from an electrician but can charge the car at a much faster rate. This provides an additional 25 miles of range for each hour of charge time. Try setting your charging unit to turn on during hours with lower pricing to curb the electrical bill.

FIND LOCAL CHARGING STATIONS

(DC) Direct Current / fast charging is only available at charging stations, and they can add about 180 miles for each hour of charging time. Look for gas stations near you that offer charging stations. There are plenty of apps available that can help you find the closest charging stations so you can plan accordingly. The easiest way to find charging stations that are convenient for you is to download one of the popular phone apps and they will guide you to the nearest ones.

Tax Incentives

When you switch over to an environmentally friendly electric car, you can get a significant federal tax credit. Early adopters of this new technology can get a credit of up to $7,500, and you may also qualify for more savings through state laws that provide additional incentives.

You Are Always In Charge

The Driver Information Center includes a 10.2-inch touch screen that shows your current speed, average speed, battery charge and more. It displays vital information in clear graphics that are easy to read. Learn about your car’s battery usage with a helpful visual breakdown of how much energy goes to climate control, driving and other uses. Check out the Bolt EV’s top-of-the-line technology features:
