Over the last few years, more and more automotive manufacturers have begun transforming their most beloved models into electric vehicles. In order to differentiate their electric lineup from their other models, most manufacturers have decided to place unique badging on the vehicle to announce to the world that it is electrified. Like other manufacturers, Chevy has also decided to mark their electric vehicles in a special way. Keep reading to learn how Chevy has made its electric badge one of the most unique on the market.

Chevrolet's New Electric Logo

It is not uncommon for automotive manufacturers to come up with creative ways to label their electric vehicles. And Chevrolet is no different. However, unlike other brands, Chevy has decided to take a more subtle approach when labeling its EV lineup.

Starting this year, all Chevy EVs will have three blue horizontal lines that resemble an "E." The new symbol will replace the letter "e" that is on the vehicle's name badge. For example, the new Chevy Silverado EV will have a badge that reads, "Silv=rado."

The move to make such a simplistic symbol is both unique and genius. The symbol is splashed with a bright blue color that gives it an electrifying appearance. The small symbol is so minimalistic that it does not take away from the vehicle's stunning exterior design. However, the eye-catching color lets others quickly know that this is not a normal gas-burning vehicle.

Chevy's EV Lineup

The new logo is on the current EV vehicles. It is also expected to be a prominent feature on future Chevy EVs. If you want to see the new electrified symbol in person, there are two vehicles available right now and several vehicles that will be available in the near future.

Bolt EV

The 2022 Chevy Bolt EV is a sun and sporty electric hatchback. The Bolt EV has been redesigned this year to feature a more contemporary exterior appearance. The redesigned interior features a more spacious layout with up to 36 inches of legroom in the back seat.

Bolt EUV

The Bolt EUV is making its debut this year. It looks similar to the Bolt EUV, but the body is longer, wider, and taller. This sporty SUV has a powerful 200-horsepower electric motor and a 65-kWh battery pack. When fully charged, the Bolt EUV can travel up to 247 miles. The charging port is also quick-charge compatible and can get an additional 90 miles of range in 30 seconds when you use the quick-charging stations.

Silverado EV

The Silverado EV is expected to hit dealerships late next year. The spacious and luxurious interior will have several high-end features, including available two-tone leather seats and a solid glass roof. The standard 8-inch digital instrument cluster and 1-inch touchscreen infotainment display add a level of convenience to the cockpit.

Like its gas-powered predecessor, the Silverado EV has impressive power. Under the hood are two powerful electric motors producing up to 660 horsepower and 780 lb-ft of torque. With this impressive power supply, the Silverado EV can tow up to 10,000 pounds and travel up to 400 miles on a single charge.

Equinox EV
