The All New 2024 Equinox EV

The 2024 Chevy Equinox EV will be available in the fall of 2023, and it’s an excellent opportunity to go green. This is the first all-electric Equinox of all time and marks a big step forward for Chevrolet.

The legendary American auto company is committed to producing more electric vehicles, and this is proof. The electric Equinox still has everything drivers loved about the SUV in previous model years, including a reasonable price.

What’s New for 2024?

The big news is that the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV no longer requires gas. This vehicle is sporty, refined, and spacious enough for daily drives, making it affordable to go green. The Chevy Equinox EV 1LT is expected to start with an MSRP of roughly $30,000. This makes it much more attainable than other popular electric vehicles on the market.

The relatively low starting price isn’t the only way this vehicle stands out from the crowd. It also has a sharp, modern, attractive exterior. The vehicle will turn some heads on your daily drives. Drivers have the choice of eight attractive exterior colors, which allows you to make this vehicle your own. Front and rear lighting animations also add functional pops that make you stick out to other drivers for safety reasons.

Pricing and Which One to Buy

The electric Equinox is available in five trim levels:

    1. 2024 Equinox EV 1LT
    2. 2024 Equinox EV 2LT
    3. 2024 Equinox EV 2RS
    4. 2024 Equinox EV 3LT
    5. 2024 Equinox EV 3RS

The 2RS trim level will be available in the fall of 2023, while the other four will arrive in the spring of 2024. The RS trim levels employ a more athletic, bolder design. Black touches on the wheels and grille panel make the vehicle look especially sporty. Rising through the trim levels offers more comfort and capability, but Chevrolet still needs to release complete pricing information.

EV Motor, Power, and Performance

People used to think electric vehicles were weak, but those days are long gone. GM expects the 2024 Equinox EV to deliver 290 horsepower with eAWD. That’s good enough to go from a complete standstill to 60 miles per hour in as little as six seconds, as estimated by GM. This vehicle will be able to tow roughly 1,500 pounds, too.

Range, Charging, and Battery Life

GM expects the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV 1LT trim to return 250 miles of range on a full charge with FWD. The 1LT trim is only available with FWD, so that’s the only expected range. All other trim levels are available with either FWD or eAWD and are expected to have a range of 300 miles with FWD and a full charge. EPA-estimated ranges are not available yet, and your actual range will vary depending on factors like temperature, terrain, and vehicle maintenance.

GM expects the electric Equinox to regain roughly 70 miles of range on those long road trips with only 10 minutes of charging. The Energy Assist App and the Equinox EV’s navigation make it convenient to find charging stations on the go.

As far as home charging, drivers can choose between Level 1 120-Volt Charging and Level 2 240-Volt Charging. Depending on the type of home charging, GM estimates drivers can restore 34 miles of range per hour.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPGe

Miles per gallon equivalent, or MPGe, measures how much mileage a vehicle can cover by consuming 22.7kWh of electricity. The MPGe rating for the Equinox EV has yet to be made avaGeneral Motors Chair and CEO Mary Barra confirmed during her 202

Interior, Comfort, and Cargo

The Chevy Equinox trunk space has been a traditional selling point. The 2024 Equinox EV stays true to form with up to 57.2 cubic feet of maximum cargo space. The unique dual-height cargo floor makes this space even more useful. Add that to a 60/40 folding rear seat, and you’re dealing with a highly versatile vehicle that makes it easy to maximize your space.

Other interior touches like customizable ambient lighting and heated front seats add even more comfort. There’s enough space for five people to sit comfortably in this vehicle (as long as your rear seat is folded up). The ride will be extra pleasant thanks to modern technology features.

Infotainment and Connectivity

As soon as you see the walk-up lighting, you’ll know you’re approaching a feature-rich vehicle in the electric Equinox. The inside doesn’t disappoint. There are various advanced technology features, and the most impressive might be the available 17.7-inch diagonal display. The enormous display makes it easier to feel in control of your experience.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

Chevrolet thought of everything, even a heated wiper park to warm up your wiper blades. Other safety and driver assistance features include automatic braking, lane keep assist, automatic high beams, the following distance indicator, and much more.
