The All-New 2023 Chevy Seeker: What We Know So Far
The Chevy Seeker is a sleek and stylish crossover with a powerful engine and a well-equipped interior. The exterior features a unique design that is both sporty and rugged. The low roofline and compact size give the vehicle an athletic appearance. However, the vehicle is outlined in strong muscular lines to give it aggressive undertones. The vehicle uses a unique X-shape design with a geometric rear end, a thunderbolt nose, and a hexagon-shaped grille.
On the Inside, the cabin is spacious and luxurious. Heated and ventilated front seats are a standard feature and power-adjusted front seats. One of the first things you notice when you look inside the new Seeker is two extra-large 10.25-inch displays. One display sits directly behind the steering wheel and acts as an interactive digital instrument cluster. Positioned in the middle is the infotainment display, which is angled towards the driver for better visibility. The infotainment system will come standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and currently works off China's exclusive operating system, called Xiaxue. It will also come standard with an advanced system that allows the driver and passengers to experience their favorite song in a whole new way. Other standard high-tech features include a power rear liftgate and a wireless charging pad.
When it made its debut in China, the Vice President of Design for GM China, Stuart Norris, said that when designing this new vehicle, the main goal was to make it look "Distinctive, efficient, and fun to drive."
Impressive and Powerful
Under the hood, the all-new Seeker comes equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that features the innovative Ecotec family. This powerful engine can deliver up to 180 horsepower or 134 kilowatts. When it comes to speed, the Seeker can accelerate to a heart-stopping 123 miles per hour or 205 kilometers per hour.
Taking After Other Chevrolet Vehicles
The all-new Seeker may seem like a completely unique vehicle. However, it does share some features with other vehicles in the Chevy SUV lineup. It's not quite clear which platform the Seeker sits on, but it is expected to use the Equinox's D2XX platform or Trailblazer's VSS portfolio of platforms. The Seeker is about 4.5 inches shorter than the Equinox. The Seeker is expected to sit between the Chevy Blazer and the Chevy Trailblazer, which will help fill a gap that is missing in most other brands' SUV lineups.
Will We Ever See the Chevy Seeker Come to the United States?
So far, Chevy has not announced its plans to bring the all-new Seeker to the US. However, many experts believe that a modified version of the Seeker will soon be available in the United States. So far, nothing has been confirmed, but since the Seeker seems to share many design features with the Equinox, many people believe that the Seeker will make its debut in the North American market as the next-generation Equinox. However, Chevy has already announced that it is coming out with an EV version of the Equinox in 2024.
