When the all-electric Chevrolet Silverado EV was announced, everyone from tech-conscious gearheads to everyday Chevy drivers began buzzing with excitement.

Highlights of the First All-Electric Chevrolet Silverado Truck

The Silverado EV is engineered to seamlessly transition from work to play, serving your needs as a personal or jobsite truck (with additional fleet variants available). In terms of the starting price of the all-electric Chevy Silverado, affordability will likely be a top priority  - making it one of the most accessible electric truck options out there.

Silverado EV Exterior

You can expect to see a modern, yet traditional, exterior design on the Silverado EV, with a non-interrupted body style that features an integrated cab and bed (based on the BT1 platform). A fully-fixed glass roof is available for enhanced visibility, elevating the rider experience as well as the overall look.

Other potential features to look for include Chevy’s signature Multi-Flex tailgate, CornerStep rear bumper, and oversized wheels with the extra-large wheel wells to match.

Silverado EV Interior

True to the Chevrolet legacy, the electric Silverado provides a ride that’s equal parts comfortable and stylish. Driver and passenger space is maximized in every way possible, both in the larger cab and added room in the rear seat. 

Technology will also take centerstage, including the crystal-clear infotainment center anchoring the vehicle’s center section. Experts predict that the Silverado EV technology features will be fueled by the Google Automotive operating system, and include components such as 15 camera views and a 12.3-inch driver instrument panel.

Silverado EV Performance

The Chevy Silverado EV may be all-electric, but that certainly doesn’t mean you’ll be sacrificing the all-star performance you’d expect from a pickup truck. It will be powered by the Ultium Platform, Chevy’s future-forward approach that prioritizes electric propulsion, zero emissions driving, and impressive torque. There are already plans to continue optimizing the Ultium battery, so drivers can look forward to increasingly efficient and powerful options for years to come.

Optional four-wheel steering and a rapid sprint mode are possible, as are Adaptive Ride Control and Air Ride Suspension. These features will elevate ride quality, offer variable ground clearance, and present a notably improved driving experience. Chevy’s Four Wheel Steer is a chassis-centric feature that equips the vehicle to steer all four of its wheels for increased agility, better handling and stability at higher speeds, solid trailing dynamics and an exceptionally tight turning radius.

Range per charge is expected to average between 300-400 miles, with some variance depending on the powertrain configuration and specific model. You’ll be able to choose from a single- or dual-motor powertrain, and a three-motor set-up could also be a possible option. The Silverado EV’s closest relative, the GMC Hummer EV, boasts output options that include 625, 800, and 1,000 horsepower, and we predict that similar ranges will be available for this new all-electric truck.
