Check out the 2023 Chevy Colorado

The 2023 Chevy Colorado is expected to receive significant stylistic updates as part of a mid-cycle refresh. The midsize pickup truck returned to production in the United States in 2014 and has received consistent updates. The updates made for the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado might be signs of big things to come. Here’s everything you need to know about what’s new with the Chevy Colorado and what you might expect from the next generation of this truck.

2023 Chevrolet Colorado

The all-new 2023 Colorado is a capable, sophisticated truck. The team at Chevrolet built this truck to satisfy those who want the best of everything. It’s both rugged and refined – unique and intuitive. Up to five Drive Modes fine-tune the midsize truck’s performance to meet all driving conditions.

The 2023 Colorado can do it all thanks to smart, flexible features. Whether you’re towing, hauling, off-roading, or commuting, you’ll feel confident in this truck. The polished nature of this truck will be especially evident in the 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2.

2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2

The 2023 Colorado ZR2 is Chevrolet’s take on a vehicle that can conquer all kinds of terrain, especially desert conditions. It might not enter production until spring 2023, a few months after the rest of the model year. The wait will be worth it for people who love to get off the beaten path.

The ZR2 includes a Chevrolet Flowtie badge to improve airflow. Other notable upgrades include an improved chassis thanks to Dynamic Suspensions Spool Valve (DSSV) suspension technology. The appearance is every bit as impressive as the performance because of exterior touches like aluminum skid plates, a modern grille, and a black finish on the grille bar.

2.7L Turbo Engine

The 2.7L Turbo High-Output Engine, which will also be available in the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2, can produce as much as 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The GM-estimated max towing for that engine is 7,700 ponds, a tremendous achievement for a truck in the midsize class.

Chevrolet may be delaying hybrid and electric powertrains for the Colorado to focus on this incredible engine. In any case, the availability of the engine is excellent news for anyone who wants significant power from a smaller truck. This is one area that will continue to separate the Colorado from the competition.

Available Advanced Trailering System

Though the Chevy Colorado has plenty of power, it’s unclear if it will receive the Chevrolet Advanced Trailering System that became available in the Silverado for 2022. This is the system that allowed Silverado drivers to create custom trailer profiles and see information about their load status. With or without Chevrolet Advanced Trailering, the Colorado truck will have plenty of impressive technology to accompany its power.

11.3-Inch Diagonal Screen

Some Chevrolet enthusiasts are calling for massive technological upgrades for the 2023 Colorado. We’re curious to see what more the American truck brand will do. The 2023 Colorado ZR2 will already have an 11.3-inch diagonal center touch-screen and an 11-inch digital Driver Information Center.

This screen is the central hub of Chevrolet’s respectable infotainment systems. Drivers who value technology can expect to see features like a wifi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto for excellent connectivity. The Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system has proven exceptional at working with the driver’s other devices.

Cargo Bed

The all-new 2023 offers a reimagined, reconfigurable bed. It also comes with the class-exclusive StowFlex Tailgate. The StowFlex Tailgate system comes standard on the 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2 trim and is optional on all others. The system adds a secure, water-tight compartment to the existing tailgate. Look for similar features in the future to help protect and separate your smaller items.

Trailering Features

Horsepower and torque are among the most important characteristics that make a truck great at towing. The Chevrolet Colorado also offers features including 10 available camera views, which are best-in-class among the 2023 models. Features like these will continue to make trailering with the Chevy Colorado more convenient as we move into the 2023 model year and beyond.
