Similarly, shock absorbers are not available in the Ram but they come standard in the Silverado.

While the Silverado earns a respectable 16 miles per gallon in the city and averages 21 mpg on the highway, the Ram can take you farther with fewer stops for fuel. It averages 20 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.

When fuel efficiency is combined, the Silverado averages 17 mpg while the Ram earns an incredible 22 mpg.

Performance Comparison

With a standard 6-speed automatic transmission, the 2020 Silverado was created to tackle any type of terrain. It also has a superior SAE net torque with 305 at 3900 while the Ram clocks in with an SAE net torque of 269 at 4800.

However, the Ram beats out the Silverado when it comes to SAE net horsepower as it clocks a respectable 305 at 6400 with the Silverado lagging slightly behind with 285 at 5300.
