Cruze, Impala named top 10 consumer reports picks for 2017
It might be Truck Month
, but Chevy is making news across all classes this month. The 2017 Chevrolet Cruz and 2017 Chevrolet Impala earned the honor of being named top cars in their class for 2017 by Consumer Reports. Graded on reliability, owner satisfaction, safety and a 50-point performance evaluation, the Cruze and Impala were named the top compact car and large sedan, respectively.
2017 Consumer Report Picks
Offering redesigned style in both a sedan and hatchback, the 2017 Cruze took this honor over two mainstays in the compact class
— the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. Consumer Reports likened the Cruze to a shrunken down Malibu and Impala, offering a smaller ride with the same stellar performance and generous selection of modern features of its bigger brothers. While Consumer Reports reported 30 mpg overall, they were truly delighted by the 47 mpg the Cruze
achieved on highways.
The Cruze’s bigger brother — the 2017 Chevrolet Impala — similarly delighted reviewers, with its comfortable, spacious seating behind a wide array of impressive and intuitive controls. While it is ample in the size department, the Impala isn’t any worse off for it, offering drivers fantastic response and security behind the wheel. Reviewers also found
its smooth ride and roomy rear seating area area reminiscent of pricier luxury sedans. The Impala is a vehicle worthy of both bargain-hunters and luxury-seekers alike.
Icing on the Cake
This latest honor awarded to Chevy is just the latest in a string of impressive accolades for the American automaker. Motor Trend named the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV the 2017 Motor Trend Car of the Year. Only one year before, Motor Trend named the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro
its Car of the Year, and the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado
its Truck of the Year.
