2017 Chevrolet Camaro: Interior Features
The exterior lines and mechanical components of the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro are both major elements of the car's success. Yet that means nothing if the car isn't a joy to ride in. It's a good thing that the same attention to detail put into the body and powertrain is equally applied to the Camaro's interior.
StandardsThere are certain components that are standard across all existing trim levels of the Chevy Camaro, from the "base" 1LS to the top-of-the-line 2SS. Six-way power passenger seats, Bluetooth functionality for cell phones, keyless opening and start functions and even the LATCH system for child safety seats – these and other features can be found in any Camaro. If you're going to be driving a high-end muscle car, there is a certain baseline that has to be established.
Because of the different trim packages, as well as feature packages that contain both mechanical and interior components, there are some options that are available as upgrades and some that are restricted to certain trim levels. For example, if you want to grab the Camaro Insignia Package to further highlight the nature of the car, or if you want to give the car a more aggressive look with the Ground Effects package, those are options available across all trim packages.
In contrast, the Bose audio system is an option for the 1LS and 1LT packages, while its standard equipment on the 2LT and 2SS. It's worth taking the time to look through the catalog of options and see which ones speak to you.
A Once-in-a-Lifetime Option
2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the Chevrolet Camaro, and as such, there are certain commemorative options available for this model year only. Some of these options are available for all trim packages, like the 50th anniversary embroidered center console lid. But for the complete experience, the full 50th Anniversary Package and all of the commemorative badging, is available only with the 2LT and the 2SS trim packages, which include orange trim stitching and illuminated sill plates.
